The University of Iowa Department of Emergency Medicine Research Division’s mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of patients with emergency medical conditions in Iowa and throughout the world though evidence-based medical research.
Research in the department is focused on clinical pratice, injury prevention, medical education, translational science, and health systems. Faculty members, emergency medicine residents, Physician-Scientist Training Pathway residents, medical students, graduate students, and undergraduates are involved in research in a variety of projects and programs.
