Congratulations to Dr. Cyndari on her recent notice that her grant, “Synovium Immunoprivilege and the Modulation of Resident Synovial Macrophage Functions in Lyme Arthritis,” was funded by NIH.  This is a 5-year career development award that will support 75% of Dr. Cyndari’s professional effort during that period.  

This is a really big deal. Last year, 4 NIH-funded individual career development awards were made to Departments of Emergency Medicine in the U.S.  Karen’s work is helping to meet our specialty’s 2030 strategic goals for EM research.
